Tickets go on sale to the general public on Dec. 1 for the 34th Ann Arbor Folk Festival at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Slated for Friday and Saturday nights, Jan. 28 and 29, 2011, beginning at 6:30 p.m., the festival is a fundraiser for The Ark, Ann Arbor’s home for acoustic music. Showcasing their talents on Saturday night will be folk icons Judy Collins and Mavis Staples, as well as Red Horse (the trio featuring Eliza Gilkyson, John Gorka and Lucy Kaplansky, whose Red House debut album of the same name has been garnering significant airplay on folk radio), Eilen Jewell, The Swell Season, Newfound Road and The Doyle & Debbie Show.
