Entries are now being accepted in the 33rd annual Mid-Atlantic Song Contest (MASC) produced by the Songwriters’ Association of Washington. The submission deadline is Sept. 15, 2016.

AcousticMusicScene.com Hosts Showcases at Huntington Folk Festival
The ninth annual Huntington Folk Festival is slated for Saturday, July 19, 2014, The free event, extending from 12 noon into late in the evening, at Huntington, New York's Heckscher Park, will feature an afternoon of unplugged showcases and song swaps, a hootenanny-style tribute to Pete Seeger, and an evening concert by Bobtown.

The eighth annual Huntington Folk Festival is slated for Saturday, July 20, 2013. The free event will extend from 12 noon into the late evening at Heckscher Park, Main Street (Route 25A) and Prime Avenue, in Huntington, New York. Americana-roots ensemble Spuyten Duyvil headlines the festival in the evening, while AcousticMusicScene.com and Acoustic Live! in New York City and Beyond host unplugged showcases and song swaps during the afternoon featuring artists from several states.

Borderline Folk Music Club Honors Si Kahn at Annual Picnic, Aug. 26, in Rockland County, NY
Hundreds of folk & bluegrass music lovers are expected to gather at the New City Volunteer Ambulance Corps (200 Congers Road, New City, New York) on Sunday afternoon, August 26, 2012 for the third annual picnic, singing party, and jam hosted by the Borderline Folk Music Club of Rockland County and co-sponsored by AcousticMusicScene.com. The free event, for which people are expected to bring a cold potluck dish for six, is set for 12-6 p.m. in the outdoor grassy area adjacent to the parking lot.
