Canadian Folk Music Awards Nominees Named

Cassie and Maggie and Stephen Fearing top the list of nominees for the 2017 Canadian Folk Music Awards with four nods each. The Nova Scotia sister duo and the Canadian folk-rock singer-songwriter are among the 75 artists and groups from nine provinces and one territory vying for awards in 19 categories to be presented at Ottawa’s Bronson Centre on Nov. 18-19. 2015 JUNO Award Winners Named

Catherine MacLellan’s The Raven’s Sun and The Bros. Landreth’s Let It Lie were named Roots and Traditional Album of the Year – Solo and Group, respectively, in the 2015 JUNO Awards, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys. Arts Presenters, Performing Artists Gather In NYC in January

Several thousand people are expected to converge on New York City, Jan. 9-13, 2015, for the annual conference of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters (APAP).
