Little Toby Walker returns to Jorma Kaukonen’s Fur Peace Ranch in southeastern Ohio in March to teach finger-picking blues guitar.

Phil Minissale, a student and protégé of Walker, will be Jerry Schaefer’s in-studio guest on the “Graveyard Blues Radio Show” that airs Sunday, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. on WRCN 103.9 FM.

The 2007 LI Harp Blowoff is slated for Sunday, March 4, beginning at 2 p.m., at Buchmann’s Radio Grille, 197 Terry Road, Smithtown. Admission to the event that benefits the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is $10.

James O’Malley, a gifted singer-songwriter and guitarist, has been selected as a finalist in the Plowshares Songwriting Contest for the second successive year. He’ll be performing “Open a Window” and/or “Crickets” from his forthcoming CD during a March 31 Finals Showcase at the Schuykill Friends Meeting House in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
