Best Contemporary Folk/Americana Album: Bob Dylan, Modern Times (Columbia)

Best Traditional Folk Album: Bruce Springsteen, We Shall Overcome – The Seeger Sessions (Columbia)

Best Contemporary World Music Album: The Klezmatics, Wonder Wheel – Lyrics by Woody Guthrie (Jewish Music Group)

Best Contemporary Instrumental Performance: Bryan Sutton and Doc Watson, "Whiskey Before Breakfast," a track from Not Too Far From The Tree (Sugar Hill Records)

Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance: Bob Dylan, "Someday Baby," a track from Modern Times (Columbia)

The Dixie Chicks were the evening’s big winners, capturing Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year, as well as Best Country Performance By a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Country Album.
