Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mountain Boys and The Grascals (the reigning, two-time IBMA Entertainers of the Year who were profiled here in a Jan. 30, 2007 feature that is available in the archives) are among the acts slated to perform during the 38th Annual South Carolina State Bluegrass Festival, Nov. 22-24, at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.

Raymond Fairchild & The Maggie Valley Boys will get things going at noon on Thursday, while Cherryholmes will close out the festival with a 9:30 p.m. set on Saturday night.  Also appearing over the course of the three-day event are Blue Highway, The Bluegrass Brothers, Goldwing Express, Grasstowne, The Inspirations, The James King Band, Doyle Lawson and Quick Silver, The Lewis Family, Jesse McReynolds & The Virginia Boys, Bobby Osborne and The Rocky Top X-Press, Marty Raybon and Full Circle, Kenny and Amanda Smith, The Larry Stephenson Band and 111rd Tyme Out.  With the exception of Ralph Stanley and his band, all of the artists have both afternoon and evening sets on the schedule.  Spontaneous jam sessions also are anticipated.
