Jeff Black, Alison Brown, Casey Driessen (of the Sparrow Quartet), Robby Hecht, Jars of Clay, Gretchen Peters, and The Silver Seas are among the more than 30 local and nationally touring artists slated to perform on three stages during The Americana Folk Festival on Nov. 1 at Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, Tennessee, The park is situated in the hills of middle Tennessee, 30 minutes west of Nashville.

Featuring a mix of Americana, bluegrass, folk, jazz, and other acoustic genres, the one-day festival seeks to recreate a sense of the  back-porch “picking party” and a down-home vibe amid thousands of audience members, according to organizers. A green village with ethnic and organic food, microbrews, luthiers and other instrument builders, artisans, open jam sessions, and activities for outdoors and nature enthusiasts also will be featured.

Admission to the festival, for which doors open at 9 a.m., is $30.  For more information, visit www.americanafolkfest.com.
