A number of talented local, regional and national touring female performing artists are on the bill for Muses in the Vineyard, a music festival celebrating women in song, that is slated for Saturday-Sunday, May 17-18 at Four Sisters Winery in Belvidere, New Jersey.
Now in its third year, and expanded to two days, the festival will feature performances by the Sarah Ayers Band, Sarah Blacker, Trina Hamlin, Christine Havrilla, Maura Kennedy, Shawna Kilgore, Jess Klein, Mara Levine with Caroline Cutroneo, Danielle Miraglia, Kathy Moser, Red Molly, Regina Sayles, Amy Speace and Camela Widad.
Festival goers, who are advised to bring lawn chairs or blankets, also can enjoy winery tours and tastings during the rain-or-shine event that is set for 1-7 p.m. on Saturday and 12 noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the winery located at 783 Count Road 519 in Belvidere. The vineyards are nestled in a valley amid the rolling fields and picturesque hills of New Jersey’s Warren County.
Billed as “A festival of music, of the women, by the women, and for… everyone,” Muses in the Vineyard is held as a benefit for the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey, a statewide affiliate of the National Epilepsy Foundation. It is presented by the nonprofit Foul Rift Productions, Inc., the younger but bigger sibling of Folk on Foul Rift House concerts. It aims to help expand the availability of quality live music to the public while expanding opportunities for artists who are increasingly reliant on live venues to support their craft amid shrinking revenues from recording.
Tickets priced at $22.50 per day or $40 for the weekend may be purchased online at www.musesinthevineyard.com, where more information on the festival also may be found.
