DelFest 2016 takes place at the Allegany County Fairgrounds in Cumberland, Maryland over Memorial Day Weekend. Del McCoury, 76, a guitarist and vocalist, who has been making music for more than 55 years, teamed with High Sierra Music in 2008 to create this family-friendly music festival celebrating his family’s musical legacy, fostering opportunities for top-notch musical collaborations, offering ‘playshops’ (informal workshops emphasizing performance rather than instruction), providing late-night indoor performances and picking sessions, and showcasing new talent with a down-home feeling.
