Performing songwriters in all musical genres are invited to submit entries in the sixth annual Mountain Stage NewSong Contest.    

The submission deadline for the general round, open to anyone from anywhere, is July 25.  There is a May 18 deadline for entries into new live regional rounds for the Northeast, Southeast, New England, Southwest, Mid-Atlantic, Ohio River Valley and Canada. Eligible performing artists may submit entries in both a regional round (provided they live in the region) and the general round.  All entries must be submitted online via sonicbids.com.

A total of 12 finalists will be selected to perform in the international contest finals to be held in New York City in late September as part of the River to River Festival.  Four of the finalists will be chosen from the general round, one from each of the regional rounds, and one from the NewSong Academy, August 9-11, in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

Cash and other prizes will be awarded.  One or more of five co-winners will be invited to perform live on the internationally broadcast  "Mountain Stage" radio show that is now in its 25th year.  Co-winners and other contest standouts will also be invited to participate in future NewSong productions  across the country and will be considered for future releases on the NewSong Recordings label.
