Winners Named in 2023 Americana Honors & Awards
The 23rd annual Americana Honors & Awards were presented at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee on September 20, 2023. Tyler Childers, Billy Strings, Bonnie Raitt, The War and Treaty, S.G. Goodman, and SistaStrings were named as recipients of coveted awards during an awards show that is the highlight of the annual AMERICANAFEST, a five-day celebration of American roots-inspired music put on by the Americana Music Association, September 19-23.

Musical highlights from the 20th annual Americana Honors & Awards will be featured on a special hour-long episode of Austin City Limits that is set to air on PBS television stations beginning on Saturday, April 2, 2022. Winners Named in Americana Honors & Awards
The Highwomen was the big winner in the 2020 Americana Honors & Awards that were revealed on Dec. 15. The all-female group’s self-titled debut release won Album of the Year, while one of its tracks (“Crowded Table”) took Song of the Year Honors. The Highwomen was also named Duo/Group of the Year.

2017 Americana Honors & Awards Show to be Streamed Live on Sept. 13
The 2017 Americana Honors & Awards will be presented September 13 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. Hosted by Jim Lauderdale and featuring an all-star band led by Buddy Miller, the awards show is the highlight of the 18th annual AmericanaFest, a six-day festival and conference celebrating American roots-inspired music that is put on by the Americana Music Association. A live video stream of the show will be webcast via NPRMusic.org starting at 6:30 p.m. CDT, while a live simulcast will air on SiriusXM’s Outlaw Country and several Nashville area radio stations.

Americana Honors & Awards Nominees Named
Nominees for the Americana Music Association’s 2012 Americana Honors & Awards were announced on May 31 during a celebratory event at The Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theatre in Los Angeles, California. With nods for Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Duo/Group of the Year,Jason Isbell snagged the most nominations, along with his group, the 400 Unit.

Registration Opens for Americana Music Association and IBMA ‘World of Bluegrass’ Conferences in Nashville This Fall
Two major music industry business conferences of note to the acoustic music community are slated for the fall in Nashville, Tennessee. The Americana Music Association’s 10th Annual Americana Music Festival & Conference returns to the “Music City,” September 16-19, while the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA)’s World of Bluegrass is set for September 28-October 4. Early-bird registration opened this month for both events.
