Philadelphia Folk Festival Set for Aug. 18-21
Thousands of music lovers are expected to converge on Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford Township, near bucolic Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, Aug. 18-21, for the annual Philadelphia Folk Festival. Now in its 55th year, the event, produced and presented by the Philadelphia Folksong Society, is the longest continuously running musical festival of its kind in North America.

Finalists Named in Philadelphia Songwriters Project Performing Songwriter Contest for 2015
Finalists have been announced in the 10th annual performing songwriting contest produced by The Philadelphia Songwriters Project. The 12 singer-songwriters – who hail from Maryland, New York and New Jersey, as well as the Philadelphia area – include Annika Scilipote, Ben O’Neill, Jeanette Lynne, Adam Web, Cat Ricketts, Avi Wisnia, Alyssa Garcia, Joe Marson, Angela Burns, Rob Camarino, Stetson Rose, and Jeff Waters.

AcousticMusicScene.com hosts a series of late-night song swaps during the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, July 31-August 3, in partnership with Pirate Camp, which was informally launched by Stuart Kabak and the late Jack Hardy more than a decade ago to provide a warm and welcoming haven for sharing music, food and camaraderie.
