Ten Strings And A Goat Skin tops the list of nominees for the 2016 Canadian Folk Music Awards with four nods. The Prince Edward Island-based bilingual folk trio is among 72 artists and groups from ten provinces and two territories vying for awards in 19 categories to be presented during a gala event at Toronto’s Isabel Bader Theatre on Dec. 3.

2015 Canadian Folk Music Awards Presented
The 11th annual Canadian Folk Music Awards were presented in Edmonton, Alberta on Sunday evening, Nov. 8, and streamed live online via Concert Window. Winners for 2015 were named in 19 categories, while an Unsung Hero Award recipient was also honored during a bilingual gala & reception at the Citadel Theatre.

2015 JUNO Award Winners Named
Catherine MacLellan’s The Raven’s Sun and The Bros. Landreth’s Let It Lie were named Roots and Traditional Album of the Year – Solo and Group, respectively, in the 2015 JUNO Awards, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys. They were recognized by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (CARAS) prior to televised ceremonies from the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario on March 15.
