South Florida Folk & Acoustic Music Festival Set for Jan. 31-Feb. 2
The annual South Florida Folk & Acoustic Music Festival returns to Davie, Florida's Bergeron Rodeo Grounds, Friday-Sunday, January 31-February 2, 2025. Presented by the nonprofit South Florida Folk & Acoustic Music Club, the festival will feature performances by more than 40 artists/acts, a singer-songwriter competition, and a wide array of jam sessions and workshops. All festival activities will take place under cover. Discounted tickets are available online until 6 p.m. on January 26.

SWRFA Conference Returns to Austin, Sept. 21-25, 2022
For the first time in three years, Southwest Regional Folk Alliance (SWRFA) will hold an in-person annual conference in Austin, Texas. Set for Wednesday, September 21-Sunday, September 25, 2022, its 23rd annual conference will feature official and in-room showcases; communal meals; panel discussions, seminars and workshops addressing many facets of the music business; a film screening; Wisdom of the Elders; mentoring sessions; a DJ reception; an exhibit area, and lots of networking opportunities. Slaid Cleaves, an acclaimed Maine-bred and Texas-based singer-songwriter, headlines the 11th Annual Huntington Folk Festival on Saturday, July 30 at Huntington, New York’s Heckscher Park, located off Main Street (Route 25A) and Prime Avenue. Extending from noon until l0:30 p.m., the free festival – co-presented by the Folk Music Society of Huntington (FMSH) and the Huntington Arts Council – is part of the 51st Annual Huntington Summer Arts Festival.
