Singer-Songwriter Cape May Conference Set for March 25-26, 2011
Springtime may be off-season for the historic Victorian-lined seaside resort community of Cape May, New Jersey. January 28 is Showcase Submission Deadline for SS Cape May
More than 130 acts, from solo artists to full bands, will be selected to showcase at various venues over two nights during the fourth annual Singer-Songwriter Cape May music business conference set for March 25-26 in the historic Victorian-lined New Jersey seaside resort community. The deadline for singer-songwriters in all genres to submit showcase applications has been extended until Jan.28.

Dec. 2 is Early-Bird Registration and Showcase Application Deadline For 2011 International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis
The 24th Annual International Folk Alliance Conference is slated for February 16-20, 2011 in Memphis, Tennessee. However, financial savings are in the offing through early-bird registration that is open through Dec. 2, while forms also are available on the Folk Alliance International website (www.folk.org) for performing artists to apply for Performance Alley official showcase opportunities.

Showcase Application Deadline Nears for SWRFA Conference
August 3 is the deadline for artists to submit applications for official showcases during the Southwest Regional Folk Alliance (SWRFA) Conference, which takes place at the Holiday Inn Austin Midtown (formerly the Radisson) in Austin, Texas from Sept. 30-Oct. 3. A series of 15-minute official showcase slots are slated for Friday and Saturday nights.

Application Deadlines Near for NERFA Conference Showcases
Artists interested in applying for formal and/or tricentric showcases during the 16th annual Northeast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA) Conference have until Aug. 1 and Aug. 31, respectively, to do so. The annual conference, which drew nearly 700 people last year, is slated for Nov. 11-14 at the Hudson Valley Resort in Kerhonkson, NY.

Future of Music Coalition Presents D.C. Policy Day and Musicplus: Skill Building for Musicians Seminar in May
The Future of Music Coalition's third annual D.C. Policy Day is set for May 25, while the national nonprofit education, research and advocacy organization also co-presents a six-hour seminar entitled "Musicplus: Skill Building for Musicians" in Oakland, California on May 16. Both events are free and will be webcast.
