FAI Folk Radio Charts – January 2024
Alice Di Micele had the top album (Interpretations: Volume 1) and was the most-played artist on folk radio during January 2024. “The Great Forgetting” by Natalia Zukerman edged out "Let’s Get Happy Together” by Jim Kweskin, the month’s second most-played artist, for top song. So say charts compiled by Folk Alliance International based on radio playlists submitted to FOLKDJ-L, an electronic discussion group for DJs and others interested in folk-based music on the radio.

Muses in the Vineyard Celebrates Women Artists, May 16-17
Wine pairs well with music, and wineries across the U.S. frequently feature performances by acoustic artists. For the past several years, Four Sisters Winery in Belvidere, New Jersey has played host to Muses in the Vineyard, billed as a “Celebration of Music Of the Women, By the Women and For Everyone.” Now in its fourth year, the festival, set for May 16-17, will feature sets by 18 local, regional, national and international touring artists and groups.

Formal Showcase Artists Chosen for 2013 NERFA Conference
Fourteen artists/acts have been selected from among 200 applicants to perform in the juried Formal Showcase during the 19th Annual Northeast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA) Conference at the Hudson Valley Resort in Kerhonkson, New York, Nov. 7-10, 2013.

Quick Q & A with Garnet Rogers
Canadian singer-songwriter Garnet Rogers has been hailed by the Boston Globe as “a brilliant songwriter,” “a charismatic performer and singer,” and “one of the major talents of our time.” The venerable folk music publication Sing Out! noted that he “may be one of the greatest male interpreters and vocalists performing in the contemporary folk scene.” Kathy Sands-Boehmer posed some questions to him recently.
