Bright Side of Down, the new release by singer-songwriter John Gorka, was the most-played album on folk radio during February 2014, closely followed by Where Have All The Flowers Gone? The Songs of Pete Seeger, according to charts compiled by Richard Gillmann from radio playlists submitted to FOLKDJ-L, an electronic discussion group for DJs and others interested in all folk-based music on the radio. Gorka's "Holed Up in Mason City" was reportedly the month's most-played song.

Top Albums and Songs of March 2012 (FOLKDJ-L)
AcousticMusicScene.com is pleased to publish the monthly Top Albums and Songs charts compiled by Richard Gillmann from radio playlists submitted to FOLKDJ-L, an electronic discussion group for DJs and others interested in all folk-based music on the radio. In March 2012, Little Blue Egg, a collection of archived home and studio recordings that Tracy Grammer and her late partner Dave Carter made between 1997 and 2002, topped the albums chart for a second month. It was followed by Lay Down, Lay Low, the new album by Shenandoah Valley-based Americana roots outfit The Steel Wheels, which also sported four of the month's top 10 most-played songs -- including "Breaking Like The Sun" at #1.

Roots Music Report Folk & Roots Country Radio Charts, 09-09-11
Paul Simon's So Beautiful or So What returns to the #1 position on the Roots Music Report folk radio chart this week, while Gillian Welch's The Harrow & The Harvest continues to top the Roots Country chart.
