The Southwest Regional Folk Alliance (SWRFA) hosts a one-day mini-conference in Longmont, Colorado on Saturday, June 23, 2012. Designed to provide folks with a sampling of what takes place at the organization’s annual weekend-long conference in Austin, Texas (Sept. 27-30), the day-long event is slated for 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Longmont is located in Boulder County, 37 miles north of Denver. March 15 is the application deadline for the 2012 Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Competition for Emerging Songwriters to be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 26 and 27, during the 41st Annual Kerrville Folk Festival at the Threadgill Theater on the Quiet Valley Ranch Campgrounds in the Texas Hill Country. 2010 Kerrville Wine & Music Festival Set for Sept. 3-5

Wine and music aficionados will gather in the Texas Hill Country over Labor Day Weekend for the 2010 Kerrville Wine & Music Festival. The annual event, pairing Texas wine tastings with performances by two-dozen singer-songwriters, takes place Sept. 3-5 at the Quiet Valley Ranch, nine miles south of Kerrville on TX Hwy 16. Early Registration Opens for International Folk Alliance Conference

The 22nd Annual International Folk Alliance Conference is slated for next February 17-22 in Memphis, Tennessee. However, financial savings are in the offing through early registration that is now open, while forms also are available on the Folk Alliance International’s website (www.folk.org) for performing artists to apply for showcase opportunities.
