FAI Folk Radio Charts – May 2022
Singer-Songwriter Chuck Brodsky had the most-played album (Gravity, Wings, and Heavy Things) and three of the top 10 songs on folk radio during May 2022. Cosy Sheridan’s “The Land of 10,000 Mothers” edged out Brodsky’s “It Takes Two Wings” for the most-played song, while Bob Dylan was the month’s top artist. So say charts compiled by Folk Alliance International based on radio playlists submitted to FOLKDJ-L, an electronic discussion group for DJs and others interested in folk-based music on the radio.

Top Albums & Songs – May 2018 (FOLKDJ-L)
Ry Cooder had the top album (The Prodigal Son) and four of the ten most-played songs on folk radio during May 2018, while Reggie Harris and Cosy Sheridan & Charlie Koch shared the month’s top song with “Ready To Go” and “My Fence & My Neighbor,” respectively. So say charts compiled from radio playlists submitted to FOLKDJ-L, an electronic discussion group for DJs and others interested in all folk-based music on the radio.

SERFA Conference, a Musical ‘Family Reunion,’ Set for May 13-17 in North Carolina
Several days of contemporary and traditional folk music, networking, and learning opportunities await the nearly 200 people expected to converge on the Montreat Conference Center in Montreat, North Carolina, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, near Asheville, May 13-17, 2015, for the eighth annual Southeast Regional Folk Alliance (SERFA) Conference. Michael Kirkpatrick is 2014 Telluride Troubadour Winner
Fort Collins, Colorado-based folk-rock singer-songwriter Michael Kirkpatrick was selected as the winner of the 2014 Telluride Troubadour Competition and had the opportunity to perform a short set on the main stage during the 41st Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival that took place in Colorado, June 19-22.

More than 800 performing artists, presenters, promoters, agents and managers, folk DJs and others actively engaged in traditional and contemporary folk music will converge on the Hudson Valley Resort in Kerhonkson, NY, Nov. 7-10, 2013, for the 19th Annual Northeast Regional Folk Alliance (NERFA) Conference. Reed Turner is 2013 Telluride Troubadour Winner
Austin, Texas-based folk-rock singer-songwriter Reed Turner was selected as the winner of the 2013 Telluride Troubadour Competition and had the opportunity to perform a short set on the main stage during the 40th Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival that took place in Colorado, June 20-23.
